🌿Hi! I’m Crystal,
I’m a watercolour artist, originally born and raised in Singapore, now living in the Yarra Valley just outside Melbourne, Australia, a place surrounded by nature that constantly inspires my work.
My background as a yoga teacher continues to shape everything I create. It brings mindfulness, presence, flow, and a sense of ease and joy into my art practice.
Painting brings me a kind of peace, joy, empowerment, and I’ll say it, healing. And for the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students both online and in person. My approach to teaching is simple: I believe art should feel accessible, not intimidating. I believe perfectionism has no place in creativity and that mistakes are simply part of the process.
Students often tell me they love my relaxed and encouraging teaching style because I have a way of taking something that feels overwhelming or complicated and breaking it down into simple, manageable steps that actually make sense.
My goal has never been to teach students to paint exactly like me. It’s to provide the structure, techniques, and guidance that allow them to find their own flow, confidence, and creative voice.

In all my videos, I try to use as many visual elements as possible, such as pictures and references, so you can take some inspiration and you can practice. You can follow each step as I show it to you, and you can comment and compare with other students under each video or in the group so you can resolve any doubts you have and learn new tricks!
