Hello, I am Crystal!
I am an intuitive watercolour artist. Originally born and raised in Singapore, I live near Melbourne, Australia, about 80km east in a beautiful place called the Yarra Valley, inspired by nature and my surroundings. My background as a yoga teacher brings mindfulness, presence, a sense of flow, letting go and joyfulness into my art practice.
I only discovered painting at 40 years old and quickly discovered that this practice tops everything else in life in terms of the amount of peace, joy, empowerment and dare I even say, healing to my soul. For the past six years, I’ve mostly painted flowers, but somewhere along the way, I felt the pull toward landscapes.
Landscape painting makes me feel deeply connected, invigorated, grounded, and expansive. To paint a landscape is to pay homage to a place that moved me. The vast openness of a mountain range, an intimate forest bend, or a sun-scorched beach day. It feels like becoming one with the universe.
Over years of practice, experimentation, and bringing my loose floral techniques into landscape work, I’ve developed a style that is filled with movement, energy, and feeling, yet is achievable, fast, and wonderfully effortless. This course is where I share that approach with you.

You can follow each step as I show it to you, and you can comment and compare with other students under each video or in the group so you can resolve any doubts you have and learn new tricks!
